The Inspector-General's second and final report of the Inquiry into the 2019-20 Victorian fire season was tabled by leave in Parliament on 14 October 2020.
The Victorian Government has responded supporting all 15 recommendations.
This follows the Victorian Government’s acceptance and support of all 17 recommendations from IGEM's Phase 1vReport, which was released in 2020 and focused on emergency preparedness and response.
This second and final report represents IGEM's work under Phase 2, focusing on relief and recovery arrangements, and concludes the independent Inquiry.
By request from the Minister for Emergency Services, IGEM will monitor and report on the implementation of Phase 2 recommendations, consistent with its monitoring of the Inquiry’s Phase 1 recommendations.
