Responding to the challenge ‘As the world changes, so must we’.

The emergency management sector must not be complacent. Adhering to established, evidence-based practises is not good enough.  We walk the tightrope between ever changing government and community attitudes and expectations. As a sector we must be ready and open to change to meet our stakeholder’s expectations.

The Emergency Management Conference has been a landmark event for the past 22 years in Melbourne as the annual gathering for paid and volunteer members from across Victoria's emergency management sector. It is also attended by representatives from state and local government, community, and business.

In 2022 the conference program will bring together emergency management professionals and subject matter experts to respond to the challenge ‘As the world changes, so must we’.

The conference has grown to become the preeminent conference for the sector in Victoria which regularly attracts over 400 people who have an interest in all aspects of emergency management.  This is a conference designed by people from the emergency management community for people who work in and around the sector.

The conference is proudly hosted by the Emergency Services Foundation (External link).
