Over the last decade many independent inquiries and reviews have recommended improvements around the way Victoria prepares, responds and recovers from emergencies such as floods and bushfires.
The Inspector-General of Emergency Management (IGEM) is undertaking a major review of the reform of Victoria’s emergency management arrangements over the past 10 years .
VCOSS - the Victorian Council of Social Service - will be providing a submission to the review and this consultation forum will provide community and social service organisations the opportunity to share the experiences of emergency events that have impacted their clients and communities with them.
