Over the last decade many independent inquiries and reviews have recommended improvements around the way Victoria prepares, responds and recovers from emergencies.

Communities right across the Bendigo, Mount Alexander, Mitchell, Loddon, Campaspe  and other surrounding local government areas have been subject to a range of fire, flood, storm and other events in recent years.

VCOSS - the Victorian Council of Social Service ) (External link) will be providing a submission to IGEM's review of emergency management reform (External link) and invites community and social service organisations to join a consultation forum to tell VCOSS about the experiences of emergency events that have impacted their clients and communities.

A consultation in Bendigo will be held on Wednesday 26 June:

  • 11.00am until 2.00pm
  • Location: Bendigo Library - Activity Room 2, 259 Hargreaves Street, Bendigo

You can register to attend through eventbrite.com.au  (External link)
